Gibson County offers some of the best healthcare in the region, with three medical centers in the county and close proximity to major trauma centers in Jackson, Memphis, and Nashville.

Trenton Medical Center

The Trenton Medical Center opened its doors in January 2016.  The nearly 13,000 square-foot facility includes occupational and physical therapy services provided by Sports Plus Rehab Centers, lab and x-ray services along with primary care provided by Christian Family Medicine, walk-in drive-thru pharmacy provided by Duncan's Express Pharmacy as well as rotating specialty clinics.


Humboldt Medical Center

Humboldt Medical Center includes a location of Jackson-Madison County Emergency Department that is available to see patients 24/7.  Staffed by board-certified physicians, the Emergency Department located within Humboldt Medical Center provides comprehensive emergency care to residents of north Medical County and Gibson County.  CT, Ultrasound, Lab and X-Ray are available on-site.  Digital image transmission and medical records are integrated with Jackson-Madison County General Hospital for a seamless process when needed.  Sports Plus Rehab Centers also offers outpatient physical therapy and aquatic physical therapy at Humboldt Medical Center.


Milan General Hospital

Milan General Hospital, an affiliate of West Tennessee Healthcare, originally opened its doors to the community in 1941.  Milan General Hospital provides a wide range of comprehensive services all with the convenience of being close to home.  The hospital includes an Emergency Department, Inpatient and Outpatient Surgery Services and a short-stay rehabilitation program called Swing Beds that offer physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy.  The hospital is fully accredited by The Joint Commission and licensed by the State of Tennessee.  Milan General Hospital has its own advisory board that is comprised of City of Milan citizens.
