Tatum and Bethany Alexander have learned how to successfully balance their lives between family and operating a family-owned business. Both Tatum and Bethany grew up in Bradford and always had the desire to give back to the community that they were proud to call “home”. After high school graduation, Tatum attended the University of Tennessee at Martin and obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts with an emphasis in Graphic Design. After graduation from UTM, Tatum obtained a position with a graphic design business. After her graduation, Bethany worked as a chiropractic assistant and as an elementary school teacher’s assistant.
In 2008, Tatum began a sign business out of his home. The home business had grown so that in 2016, Tatum resigned from his previous employer and he and Bethany took a leap of faith and purchased a building in downtown Bradford for their growing business. The business has now evolved into other areas that include screen printing, embroidery, vinyl graphics, digital graphics, banners, yard signs and the list goes on. The old saying, “two heads are better than one” is true in this case. Tatum and Bethany brainstorm designs and business ideas. This is the case of two highly motivated people working together.
Tatum stated, “Here at 909, we are the salesperson, the artist, the customer service representative, and the printer. Quality is our goal in every project and to also offer the quickest turnaround time to our customers.” Bethany added, “Our machines are all commercial grade and the best this industry offers in order to give the customer a great product at a great price, all while experiencing a small family-owned business in a hometown atmosphere.”
