Happy Pawz Pet Boarding

Happy Pawz Pet Boarding is a lifelong dream of mine that finally came true.  As long as I can remember, I have loved animals. Not just dogs and cats, but all animals.  I grew up in Gibson County and attended Peabody High School.  I graduated from high school and went on to graduate from The University of Tennessee at Martin where I majored in Criminal Justice and minored in Business.  After graduation, I began my career with the State of Tennessee.  I worked as an Institutional Parole Officer at Lake County Prison, then went on to be Juvenile Probation Officer in Middle Tennessee and eventually worked for the Department of Children’s Services.  I worked every facet of Children’s Services until I completed my 30+ years and decided to retire from the state.
During my career with the state, my passion for animals never waned.  While living in Middle Tennessee I took care of stray animals.  Once I returned to Gibson County in 2007, I began working with Friends of Gibson County Animals who rescue dogs from the shelter and find good homes for them.  I even adopted my beloved Beauregard from Friends of Gibson County animals.  I also have taken in many stray cats and have provided a safe and comfortable home for them.
After retirement, I knew that I needed something meaningful to do. Tt the urging of my mother, I began working on establishing Happy Pawz.  As a resident of Trenton, Gibson County, Tennessee and a dog owner, I was aware of the lack of resources for dog boarding in Gibson County.  I wanted to provide this service for the residents of Gibson County at an affordable rate.  I am pleased to offer this service for Gibson County.
Happy Pawz Pet Boarding owner, Lisa Morgan Dorrough, invites you call her to learn more about the services Happy Pawz offers. You may arrange a tour of the facility and discuss your pets’ needs.
